OVERVIEW OF ROLE
The Document Controller shall be part of the Document Control department resource pool. The Document Controller shall maintain and control project documentation in accordance with relevant Management System processes. The role reports functionally to Planning Manager and to Project Services Manager on a specific project.
Key responsibilities:
- Set up and maintain projects master document registers on prescribed software
- Interface with planners and other disciplines
- Liaise with and support the project teams on all aspects of document control
- Manage and record the throughput of all project documentation from internal departments, clients and suppliers
- Compile reports as required by the project teams
- Advise Client, Subcontractor, Project Manager and Team Members, the status of documents and comments internally and externally
- Ensuring compliance to project procedures and contractually agreed conditions
- Ensuring that correct procedure standards are being used and that all documents, drawings and specifications are up to date and at the correct revision
- Ensuring that the correct numbering, revisioning conventions are applied to all documentation, drawings and correspondence as per project procedures
- Assist in supplying documentation for mobilisation (hardcopy/electronic formats)
- Work with projects/internal groups to ensure as-built documentation is made available for review
- Maintain a high level of understanding of document control archiving processes
Qualifications:
- Previous work experience within the energy sector
- 1-5 years’ experience with Document Control
- Need to have knowledge of ProArc and\or PIMS
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Fluent in English
