Work Schedule:
- Normal working hours (No rotation)
- The Engineer can work extra hours and have a longer weekend. For example, work extra hours to take time off from Thursday to Monday occasionally.
Project description:
- Johan Castberg FPSO project - Fab. Engineering and installation contract.
- The objective of this work description is to describe how material take-off is performed and followed up. The description is concerning all material take-off for Insulation on Castberg project
Work description:
- Responsible for quality and punctuality for own deliveries, based on plans, procedures and practices established in the project.
- Define and organize tasks, practices and procedures for the Material Take-Off (MTO) function in the project.
- Contribute to the improvement of procedures and routines in the relevant field.
- Implement corrective measures in consultation with the discipline leader if there are deviations from the routines.
- Point out the shortcomings in deliveries from precursors in consultation with the manager of the project.
- Define bulk and early MTO for principal and critical materials.
- Establish MTO in material management system for all insulation materials based on 3D model or drawings.
- Continuously update changes to MTO.
- Consider mark-up for material buffer (contingency), cutting and refuse.
- Prepare material requisition to the procurement for all insulation materials.
- Monitor excess materials and send notification of cancellation to procurement.
- Continuously gather data for the lessons learnt report.
- Interface towards IT/IS related to engineering register, PDMS/ Navis and MIPS.
- Cooperate closely with Package Responsible Buyer (PRB), Package Responsible Engineer (PRE), Engineering, Fab Engineering and Production.
- Material Coordinator shall upon receipt of the MTO-form check whether there are any materials surplus from other ongoing projects.
Requested qualification/Competence:
- Good expertise within materials technology, insulation material types, material qualities and similar entity.
- Bachelor or technician with relevant skills. Relevant experience may make up for formal education.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of 3D/2D DAK-systems (PDMS/E3D or NavisWork) and technical register like MIPS
- Theoretical knowledge and understanding of Insulation
- Knowledge of standards and codes for Insulation.
- Knowledge to and experience with the MIPS and have general good knowledge to basic computing.
- Good common knowledge towards external parties.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Be independent, flexible and able to adjust to different work assignments and demands.
- The use of 3D tools for transferring MTO to material system where it is possible.
- Good knowledge of material management system (MIPS)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in insulation
IT Programme:
- MIPS - Necessary
- Navis - Necessary
- AutoCad - Desirable
- PDMS - Desirable
Language:
- Norwegian; - written and spoken, is desirable
- English; - written and spoken, is necessary
