The Finance Manager Norway is based in the Company’s Asset management office in Oslo, Norway. The Finance Manager Norway oversees the financial management & reporting, accounting, and risk management activities in relation to the Group’s operation in Norway including the fleet owned in Norway. The position will report to VP Group Finance which is located in Dubai and contribute to Group activities in additon to handle the Norwegian operations. The position will be a optimal for a candidate that wants to join a business which will give you experience from an international stocklisted business.
Financial Management
- Monitoring receivables balances and managing credit risk and monitoring Group cash balances and cash flow forecasts
- Acting as a finance business partner with other areas of the business and the General Manager based in Norway, as required
- Analysing profitability of the leases and return on capital employed
- Ensuring internal controls and effective procedures are in place and adhered to
- Identifying areas for improvement in internal controls and financial management, and providing solutions
- Adhoc special projects and commercial activities (i.e. providing data to sales teams, assisting with Commercial Power Point presentations)
- Representing the Company in Norway
- Performing certain administrative tasks involved in running the Oslo office (i.e. bill payments and negotiating with local vendors)
Accounting and financial reporting tasks
- Performing general accounting activities, financial services and administration
- Preparing and/or reviewing the statutory accounts for Norwegian Group entities. Assisting with financial reporting activities for Group financial reporting including quarterly reporting and other reporting such as to the Audit & Risk Committee
- Managing the year end audit process for Norwegian Group entities and liaising with Group auditors to ensure audits are completed timely
- Managing all communications and submissions on the Altinn Norwegian Government Portal including responding to requests for information and data
Group compliance activities
- Leading and overseeing Norwegian entity compliance procedures
- Liaising with Norwegian Tax Authorities and ensuring the Group’s tax affairs in Norway are kept up to date and that tax returns are submitted timely
- Preparation and submission of Corporate Income Tax
- Preparation and submission of VAT returns as per the Group’s internal Norwegian VAT procedures
Asset Management
- Reporting financial status of outstanding charters Dubai HQ for financial reporting purposes
- Performing financial modelling to evaluate tenders and for other commercial opportunities including business expansion plans
- Monitoring intercompany invoicing (reviewing and approving invoices)
Risk Management
- Leading quarterly risk review assessments and preparing reports on financial risk management regarding the Group’s fleet (operational, HSE, financial including FX and credit risk), and fleet investment strategies
- Collecting economic information (from all countries where the Group operates) required by the management to assess risks.
