Head of Marketing (m/f/x) - RX & OTC
Pharma / LIfe Science
In this challenging role you will be responsible for the overall leadership of the local marketing team and for development of key marketing strategies and tactics to achieve local business objectives in close collaboration with Sales, Medical, Regulatory Affairs, and other cross-functional partners.
The incumbent will also drive engagement with key stakeholders including KOLs, patient groups, and other external stakeholders.
As a part of the local management team you will be reporting to the Country Manager.
YOUR FUTURE ROLE
- Lead the development and execute strategic marketing plans in Austria, implement key marketing initiatives and programs following a “Multi-Channel-Marketing-Approach” supporting key objectives and business priorities
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team of marketing professionals serve as mentor to other marketers
- Partner with other business functions to understand country-specific forecasts and goals and the impact of marketing initiatives and return on investment
- Leverage best practices from within the global key brand organization and continually foster learning from industry best practices
- Execute and adapt global brand strategies
- Gain actionable customer insights by analyzing market data and through customer interaction
- Strong partnership with sales to implement commercial tactics and monitor their effectiveness
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with other functional areas and internal strategic partners (Finance, Medical, Supply Chain, Regulatory, etc.)
- Stay current on evolving media trends, technology and opportunities
- Cooperate with the internal Center of Excellence (India) regarding the development of promotional materials
- Manage the internal compliance and medical review as well as approval process of new materials to enable responsible and compliant communication
- Manage budgets and closely monitor performance to meet brand goals and objectives, ensuring cost-effective delivery of all programs
- Provide accurate product forecasts in close cooperation with local supply chain team
JOB REQUIRMENTS
- 10+ years profound marketing experience in a pharmaceutical company (prior sales or sales management experience is desirable)
- Significant commercial experiences, with demonstrated success in marketing leadership positions is crucial
- Profound experience in RX is a must, experience in OTC is desirable
- Highly customer focused: from large accounts to physicians, patients, and payors
- A track record of developing and implementing marketing strategies and tactics that have delivered strong commercial results
- Strong project management and problem-solving skills. Experience with a combination of media channels; knowledge of digital, social media, CRM and evolving marketing technologies
- Experience in managing promotional budgets
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to collaborate in a matrix environment
- Track record that demonstrates personal initiative, the ability to build high performing teams, and the ability to overcome significant challenges
- Demonstrates strong personal ethics and responsibility to purpose
- Communication, partnering and negotiation skills – ability to influence, coach & support strategic issues and agendas
- Corporate mindset and demonstration of achieving results
- High energy working style with passion and proactive and pragmatic approaches
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly visible and dynamic environment is critical; able to work effectively with ambiguity and incomplete information
- Demonstrated understanding of pharmaceutical legal and regulatory requirements and impact on development of marketing strategy and materials
- Business fluent in English – Fluency in German is a must

The annual gross salary for this position is € 91,000 with an additional performance-related bonus and a willingness to overpay according to your qualifications and experience. Company car, laptop, mobile phone and a range of attractive fringe benefits complete this package.
