About the role
Swedbank is running several strategic initiatives in parallel with scaling up agile and strengthening the delivery capacity. A lot is going on specifically within the payments area, why Swedbank now need to grow their teams with several Cobol Developers.
Some of the upcoming changes in the payments area are a pan-Nordic initiative to achieve a common Nordic payment infrastructure between six of the largest banks in the region, a European initiative for faster payments and a move from national standards to a new global standard in the financial market, to mention a few.
As Cobol Developer you will be joining one of the payments teams and will be a part of the newly released SAFe train – Payments Infrastructure. You will contribute to all areas regarding Cobol/Mainframe – analyzing, designing, developing, testing and maintenance of the different services delivered by the teams. You will be working proactively to reduce the technical depts and continuously solve and come up with solutions of incidents and problems. You will be an important key-player for success and delivering the payment area’s roadmap.
This role is placed at Swedbank’s HQ in Sundbyberg (Sweden) but you will collaborate with colleagues in both Sweden as well as in the Baltics.
Is this you?
To be successful in this role we believe that you have some years of experience within:
- Mainframe Cobol/Compiler
- DB2 Relational Database
- z/OS Operating System
Experience within IBM Filemanager, FaultAnalyzer, CMN Changeman (Librarian), MQ, IMS and OPC Scheduler is meritorious, as well as experience from banking or financial services, especially within payments.
