For our client, a manufacturing plant located in Ploiesti, we are looking for a Process Engineer, responsible for the technical support of the production plant.
Process Engineer
YOUR FUTURE ROLE
- Assist manufacturing operators with daily process & product problem solving, in order to identify and correct the root cause of such problems;
- Assure documented processes to provide standard and consistent application of work methods and procedures;
- Develop and facilitate improvements to machinery and tools to ensure excellent quality;
- Responsible for the alignment for global standards with the Technical Manager of the main plant from western Europe;
- Responsible for technical support to the Production Plant;
- Initiates, sets up studies and develops projects related to optimizing production lines, processes and product quality;
- Responsible for continuous improvement, indicates cost reductions, by using lean manufacturing principles and six sigma tools;
- Supports and advises subcontractors regarding improving production methods and processes with respect to the required quality of the supplies;
- Supports Quality Department contributes technical solutions for the manufacturing processes and provides adjustments of procedures to prevent complaints with respect to product quality (preventive and corrective actions);
- Supports Health, Safety Environment Department, contributes technical solutions for reducing health, safety and environmental risks based on RI&E;
- Respects the Company procedures and policies for Quality, SHE and prevention of Fire Hazard, Internal Regulation;
- Sets requirements based on feasibility studies for new production machines and equipment;
- Provides research results and data for substantiation of a return on investment;
- Manages projects (A-Z) related to purchasing and implementations of new production lines and equipment;
- Ensures good transfer to the Production Plant.
JOB REQUIRMENTS
- University degree in mechanical, industrial or manufacturing engineering;
- 5 years of relevant business experience;
- Experience with continuous improvement, research possibilities for increasing production efficiency and
product quality;
- Knowledge of Lean and or Six Sigma techniques;
- Relevant experience in using CAD-CAM systems, PLC, PC, CNC CAD-CAM, Robotics;
- Knowledge and experience in working with process variability tools (PFMEA, Process Flow Diagram, process Control Plan, etc) - preferable
- Strong computer literacy (spreadsheet skills with the ability to perform complex calculations and modeling);
- Initiates independent actions and activities;
- Brings conclusions and / or solutions for complex problems;
- Proactive with stress resistance
- Hands on mentality; customer oriented; team player, innovative and results driven;
- English – advanced level;
- Willing to travel.
