On behalf of our customer we are looking for a Pipeline flow assurance engineer.
The pipeline operations team works with energy companies, suppliers, authorities, and other industry players as an independent service provider. They are recognized as the leading advisor providing operational‐phase assurance for pipelines and other assets, both onshore and offshore, throughout their lifecycle, from concept, through operations and re‐qualification, to decommissioning.
They deliver a broad suite of services within condition assessments and maintenance planning, technology development and qualification, e.g. pipelines for hydrogen and CO2 transport, technical assistance and operational support, and fitness for service assessments, e.g. gas transport and storage.
Typical tasks:
- Particle erosion and sand management studies
- Flow induced vibration screening studies
- Flow assurance, process simulations, analysis of flow induced loads
- Mathematical modelling of flow and heat transfer
- Contribute with flow competence to multi‐disciplinary projects within areas such as oil & gas, hydrogen value chain, carbon capture and storage, maritime, and offshore wind
- Operation support to oil & gas operators covering production support, fitness for service assessments, and root cause analysis
Qualifications:
- MSc or PhD degree in process/fluid mechanics engineering or similar
- 3 to 10 years of work experience within fluid flow related topics
Advantageous experience:
- Sand particle erosion
- Flow induced vibrations (for example Energy Institute “Guidelines for the Avoidance of Vibration Induced Fatigue failure in process piping”)
- Multiphase simulation tool OLGA
- Process simulation tools such as HYSYS and Unisim
- Oil and gas production and processing systems, both subsea and topside
- Process diagrams such as P&ID and isometric drawings
- Navisworks
