Being the only central securities depository in Sweden, Euroclear Sweden is often acting in the centre of the securities market and is frequently participating in legislative work concerning corporate and securities laws. You will be a part of the legal team and report to the Head of Legal and Corporate Affairs of Euroclear Sweden. Our office is located in central Stockholm.
The role
The legal areas you will work with and need strong knowledge of are corporate law, securities law, contract law, banking and finance law as well as corporate governance and regulatory matters related to a CSD. You will also work with Euroclear group-wide business projects, EU and domestic legislative initiatives and other regulatory projects. If you have experience of data privacy, sanctions/AML related issues and/or outsourcing, it is considered an advantage.
Qualifications
We are looking for a highly qualified lawyer with at least five years of experience working at a law firm with corporate law, securities market law, financial regulatory law and/or banking or as an in-house counsel at a bank or other financial institution. You have a strong business mindset, personal drive and accountability as well as the ability to work in a fast paced international and multicultural environment.
The person we are looking for should also have the following:
- A Master’s degree in Swedish law
- Good knowledge in Swedish financial regulatory frameworks and/or corporate law
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Negotiation and multi-tasking skills
- Excellent written and oral skills in Swedish and English
- Excellent communication and social skills
