The HR Director is a newly established role with overall responsibility for the HR agenda and our local HR teams based in Norway, Sweden, and Finland (matrix organization). The purpose of this position is to deliver proactive and strategic HR advice, and to develop and drive the HR agenda in Geomatikk Group, ensuring business needs are met. You will drive and support development of people- and organizational capabilities to secure that Geomatikk is a safe, inclusive, and attractive place to work. This includes the delivery of HR services across the employee lifecycle, as well as driving continuous improvement to ways of working.
The position reports to group CEO and is placed at Geomatikk headquarters in Oslo. You will be a key member of the executive team and is expected to be an important contributor to the further development of the group of companies.
Key responsibilities
- Proactive and strategic partner to the CEO and management team, on all people and culture related topics
- Engage in- and support business strategy discussions by providing guidance insight and suggested actions related to people and organization implications
- Engage and develop a business-oriented and supportive HR team who are close to the organization and its operations
- Advise on and support implementation of organization development initiatives in the business, including restructuring and M&A projects
- Engage with key business stakeholders on talent acquisition agenda & recruitment needs, including supporting key recruitment processes
- Provide advice on topics related to compensation, reward and recognition
- Promote HR as a data-driven function, including analysis and interpretation of key HR metrics within HR teams and towards business stakeholders
- Support, coaching and follow-up on implementation of key annual people processes across the business (e.g. performance, engagement, succession planning etc)
- Drive improvements to HR set-up, tools and ways of working, including leading or contributing to local and global improvement projects
- Lead and contribute to ESG initiatives across the group including reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
- Present to the Board as needed on the People Strategy and HR-related matter.
- Represent Geomatikk at external events
Qualifications
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree from Human Resource Management or Business Administration or equivalent
- Solid experience of strategic HR leadership, including an understanding of the full mix of HR functions, preferably from a medium to large sized company. Experience from group level in an international company is a plus
- Experience as a strong HR partner with credibility as a trusted advisor
- Critical thinking and analytical skills with strong business acumen and demonstrated success translating business strategies into actions. Ability to interpret data and translate into actionable insights and actions
- Very good proficiency in written and oral English and one of the Nordic languages
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and stakeholder groups and deal with ambiguity and provide solutions
- Excellent communication skills – someone who can communicate the HR-initiatives in a way that engages the organization
