We are now looking for a
Nordic Buyer that can identify with our corporate values; Trust, Passion to Win, for One Another and Freedom to Act.
As our new Nordic buyer, you will have the main responsibility for organizing, leading, and coordinating NPM (Non-Production Material) Purchasing activities together with your business partners in the four Nordic Tire Sales companies and the central EMEA Purchasing team. The Nordic buyer will maintain and develop the purchasing and sourcing process & strategy to bring further value to Continental through purchasing.
Areas of responsibility:
- Coordination of contract negotiations and follow up of existing contracts in the Nordic/EMEA contract database
- Provide advises, trainings etc. to your Internal business partners on all levels in the Nordics
- Maintain and develop the Nordic NPM Purchasing Strategy in close collaboration with business management in the Nordics and the EMEA Purchasing team
- Be Nordic Key User for all purchasing related systems & processes
- Secure compliance with external & Internal rules and guidelines within the purchasing area.
- Project management (as project leader or project team member)
We believe you have the following background:
- Academic Degree or equivalent in Business Administration an advantage
- Several years of relevant experience from Purchasing services in larger organizations
- Training & Coaching capabilities, and good communication skills both written and oral
- Project management experience
- Experience in coordination of cross-functional and cross-border teams
- Fluency in English language is essential. Fluency in one of the Scandinavian languages and/or Finnish language is beneficial
The position could be based at one of our four offices in the Nordics (Gothenburg, Oslo, Copenhagen, or Helsinki), and will include some travel activities in the Nordic countries and in Europe. The right candidate will have a unique position to develop and shape the role, as well as influence and show results in an international environment.
