On behalf of our client, we are looking for a Quality Inspector.
The position is located in Bergen, and is Onshore
Description/Comment:
Inspects assemblies, materials and components for conformance to specifications, using
different measuring instruments. Ensures assemblies, materials and components are in
accordance with established tolerance levels for quality and performance and are not
irregular or damaged Inspect products using gauges, scales, calipers, hardness testing equipment,
oscilloscope and visual inspection prior to shipment
- Coordinate Measuring Machine inspection and programing. Romer articulating arm, preferred.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, bill of materials, quality plans, and other documents as needed
- Input information into spreadsheets for data collection
- Review and organize quality documents prior to shipment of goods
- Interact with third party and customer inspectors as needed
- Ability to test incoming raw materials and/or purchased parts.
- All other duties as assigned by supervisor
Education & Experience:
- Fagbrev Mechanic Certificate or equivalent
- Preferably four years related work experience as qualified assembly, dimensional or mechanical inspector, with CMM experience.
Job knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledgeable and skilled in the use of standard mechanical measuring instruments and functional gauges, preferably with large parts (2+ meters)
- Ability to read engineering drawings, bill of materials, quality plans, and other documents as needed.
- Ability to work under direct supervision and to follow written instructions and techniques.
- Ability to work with little or no direct supervision.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret graphs
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Proficiency in SAP
- Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment to assure delivery requirements
- Clear communication (oral and written) skills
- Ability to keep accurate records
- Ability to follow documented procedures and standards
- Forklift certificate is required - T1 - T4
