The Role
As Head of Expansion in Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Germany, you are responsible for ensuring, strategically and operationally, that Rusta has the best business locations on the best terms.
The responsibility lies in continuously evaluating marketplaces based on the value for Rusta in close collaboration with the respective Country Manager and Chief Sales Officer. You´ll take ownership for the store contracts, the establishments and take overall ownership in rental negotiations.
The role is new which means there are great opportunities to influence and make a mark. You will get a lot of responsibility where you are expected to own your tasks and where you become an important part of our journey forward.
Your key responsibilities are:
- Develop and execute strategies to expand Rusta´s store network on current markets
- Identify and scout the right store locations with strong and competitive premises costs
- Produce business proposals for decision-making based on business case calculations etc
- Take ownership and be responsible for all store contracts and establishments
- Rental negotiations for new stores, store relocations, renegotiations, terminations etc
- Maintenance and administration of all store contracts
- Identify and assess potential for new markets
- Conduct market research and develop a strategy for potential markets including addressable size, readiness and competitiveness landscape
- Develop new and maximize existing partnerships to facilitate market expansion (in cooperation with CSO and Country Managers)
- Collaborate close with important stakeholders, clarify needed interfaces and ensure cross-functional coordination
- Lead the Expansion Team, today consisting of one Lease Manager in addition to established partners.
Rusta´s head office is in Upplands Väsby. Travelling is naturally included in the role.
Is this you?
To be successful in this role, you have strong and relevant experience from international retail expansion for at least 5 years. You have a well-established network from the retail real estate industry and a very good experience in establishment, contracts, and excellent negotiation skills.
You have a university degree in law, business economics or a related field, and excellent skills in English and Swedish is essential. The position requires a B driver's license.
