Cooke is seeking a dynamic, experienced Sales Manager to accelerate growth in the UK.
This position will oversee sales of frozen scallops, shrimp, crab and fish with an emphasis on driving scallop and shrimp sales. You will be responsible for executing excellent customer management within the UK and work closely with a variety of stakeholders including sales, processing plants, warehousing facilities, accounting, IT, logistics and other various support staff.
This is a remote position. We are looking for individuals that reside in the United Kingdon central to the seafood industry, preferably in England.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze system data and troubleshoot day-to-day customer sales, orders and pricing
- Support our Managing Director with new and existing customer opportunities
- Determine and communicate new selling options to customers
- Analyze critical processes and lead continuous improvement initiatives
- Liaise with customers and our internal production planning
- Order management while assisting logistics to ensure that product arrives to customers
- Actively hunt for new business opportunities within the retail grocery sector, focusing on frozen seafood products.
- Develop relationships within the retail grocery industry to expand market reach.
- Negotiate and close deals, aiming to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Understand and keep up-to-date with industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
- Work closely with the marketing team to develop strategies that align with consumer needs and preferences.
- Develop and expand the company’s presence in national territories, both in retail and restaurant sectors.
Skills and experience required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing
- 7+ years proven experience as a Frozen Seafood Sales Representative, with specific experience selling to retail grocery stores.
- Strong network of contacts within the retail grocery sector, especially in the frozen seafood aisle.
- Exceptional sales and negotiation skills, with a track record of hunting and securing new business.
- Ability to operate on a national scale, with multi-channel sales experience.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
