1-1 SEN Teaching Assistant

We are looking for a dedicated member of staff to join us working with a fantastic South Tyneside school in Jarrow. The role involves supporting a child on a 1-1 basis with additional needs. We are looking for individuals who have lots of experience with SEN pupils, either in a school-based setting or with lived experience.

This role is also part-time to accommodate the needs of this child (8.30AM-1.00PM) , and is looking to start as soon as possible.

Any candidate applying must have the following to be considered for the role:

• Right To Work in the UK
• A Valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (if you do not have this, we are able to help you process one, but it may impact your application for this immediate start role)

Preferable skills:

• Knowledge of differentiated teaching strategies for SEND
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills
• A calm, nurturing, and patient approach
