For our client, we are searching for persons with strong technical -engineering skills as a shipyard supervisor within cabin, hotel and public space. You will be supervising the commercial construction area of the cruise ship in Søviknes, approximately 50km from Ålesund.

Since 2016 Marine Interiors has entered public areas outfitting business by taking over Fincantieri in house public areas outfitting team and then setting the Company as a worldwide leading player in cruise vessels interiors outfitting.
Since 2018 Marine Interiors has entered the catering areas outfitting business by acquiring another company already operating in this sector (Seanergy S.r.l.).
Since 2016 Marine Interiors is active in Norway and Romania, operating as partner of Fincantieri subsidiary company VARD.
In this partnership MI is managing the complete hotel accommodation outfitting of luxury expedition vessels. VARD Tulcea, Søviknes and Langsten are VARD shipyards involved in vessels newbuilding.
Main responsibilities:
The supervisor’s main task is to support the Site Manager in ensuring product completion, with reference to vessel schedule, costs implication, monitoring quality control and technical specification requirements.
Duration of the assignment: 1-year contract (extension might be possible). You will start in the period of February/March.
Working days: Monday – Friday, must be flexible working during weekends If needed.
Working hours: Full time
Accommodation can be provided on site for non-local residents
Essential Requirements:
We are looking for a candidate with previous experience of leading major ship constructions, preferably on commercial ships.
