For our client we are looking for a Structural Engineer in Bergen:
Start: ASAP
Duration: 1 year, with possibilities for extension
Job description:
To ensure that the applicable legislation and standards are applied across all aspects of structural delivery to the Project. These include: NORSOK, British Standards, API, Company procedures, checklists, and processes, Client codes and standards, HS&E Regulations (including LOLER) and EU Directives.
To identify and implement safe, cost effective, fit for purpose, field proven designs.
To maximise opportunities within design, to improve rig operability and maintainability.
To provide technical interface with all other discipline engineers and Subcontractor and Specialist Engineering Vendors.
To report progress against project plans to the Project Engineer/Manager/ Discipline Lead Engineer, noting any areas of concern and identifying corrective actions.
To meet the requirements of the agreed schedule identified within the project plan for the structural deliverables as assigned by the Project Engineer/ Disciplin Lead.
To ensure that the cross discipline Engineering, Construction, Commissioning, Maintenance and Operational requirements are accounted for within the design.
Responsible for checking and/ or approval of discipline design deliverables, specifications, drawings, packages and technical procedures.
Verification of Vendor documentation.
Preparation of work descriptions and work package documentation required for offshore installation, mechanical completion and commissioning activities.
Prepare requisitions for bill of materials required for offshore installation Responsible for starting workflow via DCC, including drawings, checklist, work pack as required.
Responsible for save design bases in Proarc.
Responsible for prepare PDMS model for AS BUILT On request participate in Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) on Vendor site.
To conduct offshore surveys and prepare offshore survey reports, as required.
Responsible for updating the MDL and TAG register in ProArc to an extent necessary for easy and correct document implementation to SAP
Required skills:
Bachelor Degree or Technical College with long relevant experience.
Experienced user of PDMS and Microstation Valid health certificate Preferable valid offshore certificate
Working language: English & Norwegian
