On behalf of our client whom need to increase their engineering capacity, we are searching for a Project engineer to support projects, tenders and study activities within our client's team in Norway.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare and coordinate work packages including budgeting.
- Interface with Client-, internally functions and BU-/Central Engineering.
- Provides skills, integrity and knowledge in key areas of IMR and light construction.
- Develop and implements solutions.
- Ensures adherence to project budget and schedule.
- Undertakes responsibility for production of deliverables, which may include engineering support to CAD, design calculations, procedures, analyses and various 3rd-party submissions.
- Sign and issue technical documentation as originator or checker.
- Liaise with Project Engineering Manager to ensure quality of the deliveries and address any issues that are in conflict with the expected delivery.
- Contribute to- and understand multi-discipline installation engineering and installation activities.
- Ensure that all procedures and methods of work developed have considered the safety of personnel and assets.
- Liaise with Project Engineering Manager to ensure installability of designs.
- Organize and manage HAZID, HIRA, HAZOP as required during the progress of the work.
- Liaise and collaborate with Offshore Management Teams on a regular basis during preparation and execution of projects and tenders.
- Interface with offshore construction vessels and sites.
- Manage the logistics for getting equipment and materials to- and from the appropriate sites.
- Manage internal and external installation related interfaces.
- Manage the collection and compilation of installation related as-built data into as-built report.
- Go offshore on Vessels/platforms as Project Engineer to follow up Work Packages. Typical offshore trips will be 14 days offshore. Several (3-5) trips during a year can be anticipated.
Qualifications:
- Relevant engineering degree and 1-4 years’ relevant experience preferably within LOF/IMR operations.
- Experience with Autocad is advantageous.
- Any subsea inspection competence and/or experience are advantageous. CSWIP 3.4U or NOROG Inspeksjonsleder qualifications is advantageous but not a requirement. (Course will be given unless a holder of the qualification).
Personal skills:
- Creative problem solving - able to suggest and develop new methods and ways of working.
- Flexible and proactive approach.
- Sound communication skills – able to communicate ideas and results to various stakeholders both in written reports and in meetings, presentations etc.
- The ability to work in a team as well as individually with a minimum of supervision.
- The ability to organize and prioritize own work and as such have responsibility for discrete work packages ongoing simultaneously.
- Understanding of clients’ needs and ability to suggest and apply “fit for purpose” solutions.
- Able to motivate and contribute to a positive working environment.
- This position will include sporadically work offshore.
